Mutual Aid projects understand that we cannot rely on the systems currently in place for help. We aim to help create horizontal pathways for communities to help one another without a hierarchical bureaucratic structure. We strive for transparency of our aid, welcome all to join and to help build solidarity within Avondale. We strongly believe that people who would like to volunteer with us should be allies with the intent on helping to strengthen our community bonds and do not adhere to any hierarchical beliefs (racial, cultural, financial, or gender).
